Completing Daily To-Do Lists Without Stress
Organisation and productivity = a recipe for success. You can achieve both with to-do lists. They hold you accountable and organised. Here's how to complete your to-do lists with ease, minus stress.
Hello readers,
It’s a new week - a time for new plans, improvements, and successes.
Last week was cooler here in the UK. While I love the heat and sunshine, it hit us too quickly, and to say I wasn’t prepared was an understatement.
The cooler weather allowed me to feel more comfortable while working from home. I was very grateful to stay cool as I had a jam-packed week, and I needed to focus.
To-Do Lists Are The Ultimate Productivity Tools
I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t live without daily to-do lists. I add everything to the same list, which helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance. I prioritise my wellness and health before I start work, so I add a morning walk or Pilates and any self-care ritual to the top of my to-do list.
My favourite morning self-care rituals include sitting by the window with a coffee, taking extra care with my skincare, or organising my schedule to look balanced. I keep my mornings simple yet effective as it sets me up for productive days.
I then add work tasks with a reminder to take a lunch break. Again, I might walk after lunch, phone a loved one, or complete a personal task that I don’t want to let slip.
After I finish my work, a couple more personal things might be on the list. It could be a food shop, a hair mask, or dinner plans.
The reason I add both work and life things to my list is so that I can maintain balance. If I only fill my list with work tasks, all I will think of is work.
The Secrets For A Stress-Free To-Do List
My favourite secret recipe for daily to-do lists has been highlighted. I like to add both work and personal tasks to the same list. It helps me keep a healthy balance and also prioritise my time wisely.
If this doesn’t work for you or you want more tips, here are some other favourite secrets for a stress-free to-do list:
Add priorities to the top
Tasks of priority should always go to the top of your list. If you have must-do tasks that can’t wait until the end of the day, add and complete these first.
Add affirmations throughout the list
I like to add affirmations to my to-do lists. They motivate me to get through the busiest days. Affirmations like ‘you’ve got this’ and ‘take a break; you will achieve better results if you slow down’ help me.
Tick things off
The best thing about to-do list is the satisfaction of ticking things off. When you complete a task, ticking it off it so useful as it can motivate you to complete all tasks to achieve a fully ticked list.
Add the small things
Adding small, minor tasks to your list is great for list satisfaction. I find the more things I tick off, the more motivated and focused I am. I love a fully ticked list at the end of each day.
Move tasks to the next day if things get too much
I want to emphasise that a to-do list shouldn’t make you feel pressured. They should help you stay organised and focused. If you notice that you’ve added too many things to one day and time is running out, add them to the next day. If they can wait, let them wait.
I hope these simple tips help you get through your days with more calm and less stress. To-do lists are there to guide you, remind you, and motivate you.

THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW
Morning pilates. I’m back on my morning pilates hype. I was doing pilates mid-afternoon as that’s when I had more energy. Now, my morning energy has returned, so I’m using it wisely. The Barre Defintion app is still a strong favourite.
Cheddar cheese. The multi-pack sticks of cheddar cheese with a handful of grapes are my new favorite snack. No matter the time of day, it satisfies my tastebuds and gives me a little energy boost.
Iced coffees. I am enjoying iced coffee more than a hot cortado right now, which is unusual for me. It is still humid in the UK, so it’s refreshing to enjoy during my late-morning break from my desk.

Putting the hair mask on the to do list made me feel so wholesome.
Thank you for the inspiration! 😍
